Who this covers

This policy explains what Check Life Quotes collects when you use checklifequotes.com, what we do with it and who else sees it. Check Life Quotes is a referral service. We are not an insurance company and we are not an insurance agency. Once we introduce you to a licensed independent agent, that agent handles your information under their own privacy practices, which are separate from ours.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code and the answers you select while going through our questions, including what you do for work, your age range and who depends on your income. If you book a call, the time you choose and anything you write in the booking notes.

Information collected automatically. Your IP address, rough location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you visit on this site, how long you spend on them, and the page or advertisement that sent you here.

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your bank details, your driver licence number or your medical records. Nothing on this site needs them. If an application is made later, that happens with the agent and the carrier, not here.

How we use it

• To work out which licensed agent in your state to introduce you to.
• To pass your answers to that agent so they can prepare before your call.
• To contact you about the call you booked, by text, email and phone.
• To run and improve the site, and to understand which advertisements work.
• To meet our legal obligations and to keep records of consent.

Who we share it with

The licensed independent agent we introduce you to. This is the whole point of the service and it is the main place your information goes. The agent is licensed in your state and independently responsible for what they do with it.

Companies that run parts of the service for us, including website hosting, database hosting, email delivery, text messaging, calendar booking and customer relationship software. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.

Advertising platforms.This site uses advertising tools, including the Meta pixel and Meta's Conversions API, which tell Meta that someone who came from an advertisement completed a step. Where identifiers such as an email address or phone number are sent for matching, they are hashed first.

When the law requires it,for example in response to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell your information for money, and we are not a lead marketplace. We do not resell the same enquiry to a list of competing agents.

Some state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include the use of advertising cookies and pixels that pass information to advertising platforms, and as described above we do use those. You can limit this by using your browser's cookie controls, by using your device's advertising settings, or by contacting us at the address below.

Text messages and phone calls

If you give us your phone number and submit the form, you agree that Check Life Quotes and the licensed independent agent we introduce you to may contact you at that number by text message and by phone about your request, including with messages sent by automated systems. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of buying anything. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help. You can also ask the agent directly on a call and that is honoured the same way.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, to remember where you are in the questions and for the advertising measurement described above. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking them may stop parts of the site working properly.

How long we keep it

We keep what you submit for as long as we need it to provide the service and to keep records of your consent, and after that for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it sooner using the contact address below, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

• Ask what we hold about you and ask for a copy.
• Ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Opt out of text messages, emails and phone calls at any time.
• Opt out of the advertising sharing described above.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under your state's privacy law. Write to us and we will deal with your request as that law requires. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect what you give us, including encryption in transit and access controls on the systems that hold it. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant we will make that clear on the site.
